PROFILES

Profiles (also referred to as preferences) store the preferences and settings used by a particular user (or computer). Profiles are stored in the USER directory with a file extension of .prf. The CCS Accounting program is shipped with one profile--Standard.prf. To alter the settings used by the program select Settings from the View menu. The following dialog will be displayed:

At present, only Color Preferences is available for change.

Color Preference Button: Clicking on this button brings up the following dialog:

The List Box control on the left contains a tree structure that provides access to every component of the CCS program. Open the tree structure, locate the area of the program whose color you wish to change, and double-click on it. An interactive color chart will be presented. Select the desired color and click OK. The controls on the right will reflect any changes that you made.

Clicking on the Reset button will, with user permission, change all colors back to the default CCS settings.

Tip: By defining different profiles (each with a different color scheme) for each COMPANY DOCUMENT, you can easily distinguish one COMPANY DOCUMENT from the other. This allows you to quickly determine which COMPANY you are working with when you have multiple Companies open or often switch between Companies. (The Company's name is always displayed in the frame TITLES, but may be difficult to read if the window is reduced in size).
